With class 2.B this school year we joined the eTwinning project "Around the world in 180 days." The aim of the project is to arouse the desire in children to get to know the diversity of countries on different continents, to get to know the sights and their history and to form social attitudes through interesting forms of implementation. We have come a long way since the beginning of the school year. We got to know our project partners from different countries (Poland, Romania, Greece, Turkey, Spain...). We have crossed Europe, Asia and stopped in North America for Thanksgiving. We made use of several fun apps and were able to work together with our friends from abroad on assignments and solve quiz questions through online meetings. We are already looking forward to our next adventures!

WE HAVE BEEN AWARDED THE PRESTIGIOUS TITLE OF "ETWINNING SCHOOL" 2023/2024

This success was achieved thanks to our active work in the eTwinning programme, mutual cooperation, willingness to use new, modern methods of education, but also thanks to the school's commitment to the principles of e-safety and the school's support for professional training of staff. In Slovakia, 31 schools have been awarded the eTwinning title. We are proud of this award.

Year 8 with project "TOGETHER FOR HUMAN RIGHTS"

IN cooperation with Polish, Macedonian, Italian and Turkish schools

The main thought behing this project is to lear pupils what human rights mean and how they are applied in everyday life. Through various activities, pupils are finding out about the meaning of human rights from Declaration of Human Rights. They are learning about which rights they use every day, which are neglected and which can be demanded from them in their country or other.

The herbs grew well in the classroom, we also created projects and already planted in the school garden.

We were awarded with the eTwinning National Quality Label.

Years 1, 2 and 4 with project "CHRISTMAS CARD EXCHANGE"

in cooperating with Irish school

Christmas time is a beautiful time of the year also because of the habit of sending and receiving christmas cards. As part of a project between our school and the Saint Michaels in Blackrock, Cork, Ireland, pupils with Ms. Monica crafted and sent beautiful christmas cards.

Pupils had a lot of fun while making them and were very excited when they received their cards from Ireland. It was a beautiful experience.

Participating students and their projects in school year 2016-2017:
