FOR YEAR 8 PUPILS

Year 8 pupils can apply for at most 2 high schools with a 5 year bilingual studies in this school year 2024/2025.

IMPORTANT DEADLINES:

  • The legal guardian submits an application to the head teacher of the Primary & Secondary school for a school with talent exams until 20.3.2025

  • Talent exams: 25.4.–29.4.2025 (I. fáza), 7.5.-12.5.2025 (II. fáza)

When selecting future students, high school takes into account: - Pupil’s grades from Year 5 and higher - Behavioural grades - Results of admission examinations - Results from school olympiads and other competitions (at least district round)

FOR YEAR 5 PUPILS

Year 5 pupils in the school year 2024/2025 can submit:

  • 2 applications for eight-year high schools with a talent exam, conservatories
  • 2 applications for eight-year high school without a talent exam

IMPORTANT DEADLINES:

  • Verification of special abilities, skills or talents: 24.3.-16.4.2025
  • Parents sends applications (via EduPage) to highschools without "talent exams": 20.3.2025
  • Admission exams:
    • 1st round: 1st date - 5.5.-6.5.2025, 2nd date - 7.5.-12.5.2025
    • 2nd round: 17.6.-18.6.2025

ENROLMENT TO HIGH SCHOOL

After the delivery of the high school’s acceptance letter of a student, it is necessary to enrol him by the time determined by the high school. If you do not enrol the student in time, your child will be removed from the list of accepted students and another student is accepted in his place.

If the pupil is not accepted by the high school he/she wants to study at, you can file an appeal. It is necessary to enrol the pupil to the high school that he/she was accepted to. After a positive response from the high school on the filed appeal, you will transfer the registration form.

Parents as the legal representatives of the pupils are fully responsible for enrolling them in high schools!

IMPORTANT NOTICES

  • The legal representative of the pupil is responsible for the complete and correct filling in the application; without signatures and dates, the application is invalid.
  • Specify all student data, especially the address. Any change in the data must also be reported to the school counsellor.
  • Check your mail before the date of admission exams.
  • The invitation should be delivered by mail no later than 5 days before the exams.
  • The student's non-participation in the admission examinations due to illness must be reported to the head teacher of the high school no later than on the day of the admission examinations by 8.00 a.m. (deliver medical certificate).
