Besst charity market
WITH LOVE AND TOGETHER
Before the Christmas holidays, our pupils made beautiful Christmas decoration in the School Club. Many kind-hearted people bought the decorations at the BESST Charity Market. Together, we were able to collect a generous sum of money and give it to OZ Iskierka (non-profit) in Trnava.
Under the Wish-fulfilling tree, our children brought a lot of LEGO and other beautiful gifts. The LEGO will go to the Clinic of Pediatric Hematology in Bratislava, which will be handed over there by our pupil Miško and his parents.
The gifts have been given to the children at the Children's Clinic of the University Hospital in Trnava.
Thank you to all generous donors!
Christmas performances
We experienced a GREAT CHRISTMAS ATMOSPHERE,
joy and magical moments during the Christmas performances of all our children.
And indeed, the little elves had it all well prepared. Carefully organised classrooms and a stage full of beautiful backdrops and costumes were ready for their audience.
The great dedication and preparation did not go to waste. It was worth it! Thanks to all the teachers, who for a while became the best directors and organizers in one, and to the children for their effort, courage and creative minds.
And of course, thanks to the parents for their support and participation.
Ski TRAINING YEAR 7 AND 8
Also our Year 7 and 8 pupils are enjoying the slopes of the snow-covered ski resort in Kaprun, Austria. They tested their skills on skis or snowboards, and they did not get discouraged by the all-day snowfall. Evening relaxation in the wellness center and excellent meals help them gather strength for every day full of experience.
Ski training YEAR 5 and 6
Right now, our fifth and sixth graders are enjoying their time on the snowy slopes of Kaprun, a village in Austria.
You can recognize them by their good mood, refined technique, and rosy cheeks.
They are all doing very well, we guarantee it. They are all pleased to know that an excellent lunch awaits them right on the slopes and in the evening, they will discover the relaxing atmosphere of the hotel's spa and wellness.
Alles gut.
MORE LOVE, LESS PLASTIC
In the past days, we remembered our deceased loved ones, several of us visited cemeteries, brought wreaths and lit pyres.
However, this period brings with it every year more and more future plastic waste, which is usually not sorted and ends up in landfills.
As a school, we decided to follow a path that is friendlier to the environment, respectful to people, but also to nature. We joined the challenge called More love, less plastic under the auspices of the Zelená Škola of which we are a part, and in cooperation with Funebra. Pupils participated in the project as part of the afternoon school children's clubs. They collected natural material and created unique biodegradable wreaths.
We believe that even such small steps are a way to gradually reduce waste.
MATRICULATION CEREMONY
or otherwise the act of accepting our youngest as official pupils of our BESST school.
An exceptional freshman pledge day. And we will try to keep what we promised
We wish our first-graders many beautiful moments, experiences and new knowledge on their way to education.
Festival - Learning Trnava
This year, we send two different crews to the Festival of Learning Trnava. Five students together with Mr. Ľubošom and Mr. Šimonom represented our school and demonstrated to the attendees how we use Lego Education robots during our lessons. Younger students had the opportunity to try the Quiver application to make 3D models from pictures on different coloring pages.
Our pupils of year five attended the festival as well. They visited the booths of different organizations that focus on the education of children and adults. They took part in interesting activities and competitions and enjoyed time spent in a nice atmosphere in the city center.
MOVE LEGO ROBOTS
Is not a big deal for us.
Our first grade teacher Ľuboš prepared an interactive exhibition of Lego robots for the children. At first he demonstrated them all and then the children could try programming them themselves. Some robots was able to move, others created music with the help of a distance sensor.
We develop children's 21st century competencies and are engaged in many innovative projects. Work with lego based on practical activities that awaken and maintain in children the desire to learn, encourage curiosity, creativity and critical thinking.
WE CEREMONY OPENED THE SCHOOL YEAR 2022/2023

European Night of Researchers
"LET´S TRUST SCIENCE"
is the message of the 16th annual European Night of Researchers festival, in which our school also participated with the "Meet Your Scientist" activity.
The students of the 8th grade were introduced to RNDr. Mgr. Jaroslava Sokolová, PhD., MPH - vice-dean for scientific research activities of the University of Trnava and head of the department of hospital epidemiology and hygiene together with RNDr. Karolína Tomčíková, PhD. from the SAS Institute of Virology, what does the work of a scientist look like, the areas in which they are engaged in their research. Students received a lot of valuable information on microbiology directly from experts in practice.
The aim of the researchers' night is to stimulate mainly young people to activity and experiential learning. To show that there are scientific explanations and principles behind all the phenomena around us and events in nature. Point out the need for verification and critical thinking, which are necessary in all areas of education.
Summer camp - Wandering sneakers
WANDERING SNEAKERS
on the first day of our camp took us to the Eco-park Relax on Čierna voda, where we played and relaxed in a beautiful environment together with well-cared animals.
We also visited the Bee Garden in Smolenice, where we learned a lot of interesting facts about bees and even made a candle from beeswax, which we kept as a souvenir.
In the middle of the week, we wandered into the ruins of the Beckov castle, where awaited for us a falconry performance.
Thursday belonged to a visit to the historical monument Vodný Mlyn Jelka, where we could see how flour was ground in the past.
We wandered along the nature trail in the beautiful park of the Budmeric manor. During the whole week, we managed to create, make and enjoy games in the school yard.
Summer camp BESST - Science playfully
WE BECAME YOUNG SCIENTISTS
Our BESST Camp "Science playfully" took us into a world where you can express your natural curiosity and desire to discover, explore and experiment.
We had the opportunity to try many interesting experiments.
We built sailboats, animated a paper ghost, played football with magnets, saw dancing grapes.
We also managed to test a lava lamp, an elephant's trunk, and colorful flowers.
At the end of the week we tried chromatography, gigantic bubbles, a Kinder egg surprise and many other experiments which we managed with a smile and catchy joy.
We believe that the greatest discoveries are usually not made by those who succeed at everything the first time, but by those who, even after many failures, are able to continue.
