As part of the Good Things from Wood programme, our Year 1 pupils rolled up their sleeves and got hands-on experience working with wood. They tried a variety of woodworking activities – sanding, cutting wood with a hand saw, drilling, using a hammer, and finally adding colourful finishing touches to their creations.
Under their hands, ordinary pieces of wood were gradually transformed into unique decorations. Along the way, the children developed practical skills, practised patience, and strengthened their creativity. The greatest reward, however, was the joy and pride of creating something with their own hands. ✨🌳
