10 teams moved trough FIRST LEGO League Slovak regional rounds (Žiar nad Hronom, Banská Bystrica, Žilina, Poprad, Bratislava, Košice a Bratislava-Petržalka) to the Central European semifinals in Debrecen. 27 teams consisting of students aged 9-16 from six European countries (Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Russia) took part in robotics and programming tournament on 4th and 5th February 2017. Only 2 teams from each regional round were to move trough to the next round. Slovak IT-PRO-BESST robot from Trnava scored 314 in Robot Game and became the overall winner considering the scores from the other three categories.
