FIRST LEGO LEAGUE

On Saturday, February 7, 2026, our school will host the regional round of the FIRST LEGO League (FLL) competition.

A total of 16 teams will compete in the Challenge category (competition) and 12 teams in the Explore category (children's presentation).

This tournament is an international educational program that motivates children and young people aged 6–16 to explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) through a fun and interactive approach. The program combines building and programming LEGO robots with solving real-world challenges in various fields, such as space, ecology, transportation, and health.

The goal of the project is to inspire young people to experiment and develop critical thinking, programming, and engineering skills. Participants will gain valuable experience in solving real-world problems.

The theme of the 2025/26 season is UNEARTHED, inspired by the archeology.
Teams will explore archeology, utilizing their STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) skills and teamwork to uncover the potential that lies within each of us.

The tournament will host 16 teams in the Challenge category and 8 teams in the Explore category. The competition consists of three parts: robot design, mission completion on the competition table (Robot Game), and a research project. The event celebrates science, learning, collaboration, and the joy of discovery, emphasizing the six Core Values of the competition: Teamwork, Inclusion, Impact, Fun, Discovery, and Innovation.

  • Start: 8:30 AM

  • Open to the public: from 12:30 PM

  • Awards ceremony: 4:30 PM

The regional tournament is organized by Private Primary and Secondary SchoolBESST in cooperation with FLL Slovakia at Limbová Street 3, Trnava.

We would like to extend a special thank you to all our supporters and sponsors.
