OPEN DAY
Dear Parents,
We invite you to Open Day at SZŠ BESST, which will take place on February 12, 2026.
You will have the opportunity to experience the authentic atmosphere of our school, talk to the school management, visit classes, meet our students and teachers, explore our wide range of extracurricular activities, visit our ‘Dvojbodka’ Reading Room, and discover our state-of-the-art Future Classroom Lab BESST.
You will also receive all of the necessary information regarding enrollment for the 1st grade or higher grades.

Meeting with the headteacher in “Dvojbodka” Reading Room (presentation about the school)

Group testing of school maturity for external children who come to enroll in Year 1

The option for lunch in the school canteen

THROUGHOUT THE DAY, YOU CAN STOP BY VARIOUS PRESENTATIONS OF TEACHING METHODS AND APPROACHES THAT WE USE:
• We will introduce you to the progressive Comenia Script handwriting, which makes writing in both Slovak and English easier for children.
• We will demonstrate the Hejného Method, which turns mathematics into a source of joy and development for children.
• You will see how we integrate cutting-edge technology and LEGO into our lessons.
• We will present working with gifted children
• We will present the textbooks we use during classes.
• We will showcase various forms of school and extracurricular events and activities.
